Peaceful Sundays, like today, always put me in the mood to play cards. My sister, Vicky, and her family are so much fun to play cards with. I know, I know, some of you are out there thinking we are so horrible for playing cards, and on a Sunday! Well, in our family, playing cards is our time to talk and laugh and have a great time. We don't bite the heads off chickens or chant or anything like that, so don't worry.
This is Hayley, Todd, and Janelle. Todd thinks he's the best, but we all know better.
Hayley took this picture right after Bryn had fallen down. She was really upset. We had her lay down on the couch while she calmed down and we all went back to playing cards. Hayley said I was a bad mom for leaving her on the couch while I went back to having fun. Oh well, as you can see from the picture, she eventually stopped crying :-) I can hear Vicky now saying, "My kitchen was such a mess, why did you put that picture on your blog?!?!?" Well, I was there with my two kids, Nancy was there with her two kids and we had been there for almost two weeks. Our stuff was everywhere! I can see Nick's tippy cup, the baby monitor, toys, and crackers all left there by me. So don't blame her for the mess, blame the guests.
I wish I was there right now playing scum.

I love playing cards too! Ben and I played 60 hands of golf in a row while I was in the hospital.
please come over and we will play some scum, or talk scum, or talk about people who are scum. whatever, come over.
just move here already and we can play cards all the time!!!
One of the things Mike misses most about living here is that there is no one to play cards with. We used to play with my parents most Sundays, we played a lot at a friends house when we first met. We have never played scum, have you ever played hell?
We used to love playing cards with you. And once my grandma totally got after a few of us at a family reunion for playing with *gasp* face cards on a *gasp* Sunday!
Outer Darkness here we come! Bring the cards!
And how is it that you were here for two weeks and didn't call? And I agree with Vicky, you could move back any time!
Sorry, Shilo! There are so many people that want to spend time with us in Utah. It was a hard decision, but since we'd seen you a few months earlier in Arizona, we knew you'd understand. Sometimes it's hard to be loved so much :-) (BTW, half of my time there was spent at the Stampin' Up convention.)
OH man, you can totally use that against Bryn when she starts dating boys! How funny! Who cares if you play cards and on a Sunday...it's a FAMILY activity! he he.
I love SCUM! My favorite memory is playing SCUM in Telluride, Colorado back in 1994 during a weekend ski trip. 14 years ago! And I still remember how fun that game was!
